- Windows (Chrome/Edge):
- Linux:
Controls.
Start Virtual Camera.
Streaming studio: go live from your computer
The “Streaming studio” is a web page you go live from on Kabso Live with a computer: the screen of your game, an app or a browser tab, with your face in a small circle in the corner you choose — or your whole OBS scene through its Virtual Camera. In the app your live is an ordinary “Streamer” live: followers watch, chat and send gifts, and tap full screen to watch it landscape.
Open the streaming studio →
What you need
- A Kabso account that may go live (a host in an agency, or approved through “Become a host with the team” in the app). You sign in with the same email or username and password.
- A computer with a recent Chrome or Edge. Firefox and Safari share the picture without sound, and phones cannot share their screen from a browser (on Android use “Streamer live” in the app).
- A steady upload speed: about 4 Mbps for 720p, about 6 Mbps for 1080p (the screen with the camera and the sound).
The screen and its sound
- Windows (Chrome/Edge): when sharing the “Entire screen”, turn on “Also share system audio”; when sharing a tab, turn on “Also share tab audio”. Single windows carry no sound.
- Mac: the browser shares the sound of a Chrome/Edge tab only; the entire screen and windows have none. For a game’s sound on a Mac, use OBS.
- Linux: tab sound only.
- If you press “Stop sharing” in the browser’s bar, viewers see “Screen paused” until you press “Share the screen again”.
Going live from OBS with the Virtual Camera
If you compose your scene in OBS Studio (the game, the camera, images and text), stream it as it is:
- Install OBS Studio (version 26 or later) and build your scene.
- In OBS press Start Virtual Camera in the Controls panel.
- Open the streaming studio and choose “Camera only (OBS)”. The studio picks “OBS Virtual Camera” in the camera list by itself when it finds it.
- Pick the microphone, write the live title, check the preview, then press “Go live”.
OBS’s Virtual Camera carries the picture only, without sound. The sound comes from the microphone you pick in the studio. If you see the OBS logo instead of your scene, the Virtual Camera is stopped: press Start Virtual Camera.
While you are live
- Keep the studio tab open. Closing it stops the picture at once, and the live ends in under a minute unless you come back; if you do, the studio offers to continue the same live.
- If the internet drops for a moment, the studio reconnects by itself.
- From the studio: mute the microphone or the screen sound, hide the camera, pause the screen, move the bubble to another corner, chat, see the gifts as they arrive and the viewer count, and “End live”.
- The studio does not record your live. Viewers see everything you share, so do not share a window with private messages or data.
